Hello, let me tell you something about our College

My name is Karolina and I am a student of the first year of English section. I would like to encourage all people who are eager to learn English very well to come here. What is more, if you want to make a good teacher in future you may be sure you have chosen the best school, as its primary target is to prepare students to this occupation.

When I was submitting an application form last year, I unfortunately knew almost nothing about this kind of school, so the first days here were full of surprise for me. But now, after five months, I know it was a good choice and I don’t regret it. I remember very well that at the beginning I was frightened by the quantity of subjects and even some of them I considered as unnecessary, but then I came to the conclusion that there was nothing to complain about, as each subject was very important and one should pay attention to all of them. Learning English, or any foreign language, is not only fluent communication with people. I think that learners of a particular language should have good pronunciation and know at least a little about the history and culture of the country along with origins of the language, so the separate classes providing the information are helpful and essential. We are also taught here how to work with students and many techniques of teaching so as to do this occupation very well in the future. As far as our teachers are concerned, they are well prepared, really devoted to their job, and they know many methods to make classes more interesting. A very pleasant feeling is that we are treated by them individually as groups are rather small. Among the staff there are also native speakers. In my case meeting them was a new and at the same time nice experience, as I hadn’t been to the U.S or U.K and I had had no opportunity to communicate with an English native speaker. Still another advantage is that they often tell us some curiosities connected with their countries and culture, so each meeting is like a journey abroad. I think that classes with them are very practical and not so artificial, for you feel as if you were abroad with the awareness that you can’t use your mother tongue. The only way out is to try your best to make yourself understood, even if you don’t know particular words.

As all language learners know, self-development is also very important and fortunately our college has quite an extensive teaching base, so if you are looking for some information you are bound to find it in our library. It offers you easy access to all the teaching aids you may need, such as: books, visual aids and computers. But the biggest source of information is the internet and we have also easy and free access to it during computer classes. One more advantage is that from the second semester we attend supplementary language courses (French or German). In the same building we have a bookshop, which is very convenient. There is also a café where students may relax during the breaks between classes.

These are the reasons why it is worth studying here and that is why I do recommend this very college to anyone. If I had to make the decision once again, it would be the same.
